Boeser Lifts Vancouver Canucks Over Predators in OT Thriller
VANCOUVER — Brock Boeser delivered a last-second overtime winner as the Vancouver Canucks edged the Nashville Predators 5-4 on Monday night at Bridgestone Arena.
Boeser’s Game-Winning Moment
With less than two seconds remaining in overtime, Boeser capitalized on a loose puck after a hard-fought board battle. He received a precise pass from Elias Pettersson and lifted a backhand shot past Nashville goaltender Juuse Saros for the decisive goal.
The goal marked Boeser’s sixth of the season, his second of the night, and his fourth career overtime tally. “I think it’s a huge win for our team,” Boeser said following the game.
Canucks Offensive Leaders
Evander Kane also had a strong performance, scoring two goals for the Canucks (7-7-0), while Jake DeBrusk added a single. Goalie Thatcher Demko made 25 saves to earn the victory, continuing his consistent play early in the season.
Predators’ Effort Falls Short
For Nashville (5-6-3), Filip Forsberg, Erik Haula, Michael Bunting, and Nick Blankenburg found the back of the net. Juuse Saros stopped 30 shots in the losing effort.
